I’d love to welcome you to this one day (10 am to 3 pm) ‘DIY & Home Maintenance Workshop’ in a relaxed and friendly environment at the lovely Hoghton Village Hall, Preston, Lancashire.

More and more of us are now doing our own DIY, not having to rely on anyone else to sort out those annoying little jobs. Join our DIY tribe and learn and practice some invaluable skills including how to set up and use a drill, how to easily and neatly drill a screw with or without a rawl pug, about different drill bits and which to use when, hang a level shelf and picture, how to change an electric plug and light fitting, how to neatly fill those eye sore holes and gaps in walls and skirtings etc., how to fix a leaky bathroom or kitchen tap, how to bleed a radiator, efficient and effective decorating and many more invaluable tips, including safety in the home while carrying out your jobs, how to maintain efficient heating etc. . The workshop is ideal for complete beginners, or for people who have dabbled already but would like to improve their DIY skills.

I will be there every step of the way to guide you and take you through the process at your pace. With such a small group, there is plenty of time for one to one discussion. Full workshop notes on techniques, tools and materials and where to buy will be provided.

After the workshop you will be able to buzz around your home and garden fixing, tidying and mending all kinds of things – freedom & independence! Yeey! Please feel free to contact me after the day should you need any help or guidance.

Homemade cakes, cream scones and tea and coffee will be provided throughout the day. Lunch is not included in the price although there is a small shop a 5 min drive away which sells snacks or please feel free to bring some lunch with you.
